Rally for Affordable Prescription Drugs to be held in Highland Park

The Highland Park-based group, Citizens for Repeal of the Medicare Prescription Drug Bill of 2003, in conjunction with the Lee Goodman for Congress campaign, will hold a rally for affordable prescription drugs on Thursday, August 26, 2004. The rally will take place at noon at the Highland Park Community House, 1991 Sheridan Road, Highland Park, IL. Speakers will include Lee Goodman, Democratic candidate for U.S. House of Representatives, Philip Torf, pharmacist and Director of the Institute for Pharmacy Law, and Richard Keller, M.D., Democratic candidate for Lake County coroner. There will also be testimony from senior citizens who will tell their personal stories about importing medicines from Canada. The public is invited.
